Almost a galley style kitchen for efficiency, because feeding eleven kids is a big job, one that needs an even bigger table, which is why the dining/living room is king sized. Four rooms plus a bonus room upstairs which is used as a fifth bedroom today, but undoubtedly was intended as an armoury. A three season sun room off the front was a nice place to start the tomatoes early before moving them to the garden in the big backyard. Double garage and a back deck were a status symbol at the time and still are. Heck of a house for a heck of a generation.
